Crime Log Update

On 05-17-2018 at 1:01 PM an identity theft was reported in the first block of Webster Woods Drive. The victim stated they’d been contacted by Pinnacle Bank about an outstanding balance on an account that had been opened in their name. However, the victim had no knowledge of the account. The victim was unsure of how their personal information was compromised.

On 05-18-2018 at 8:30 AM an abandoned bicycle was recovered near the intersection of Selma Ave. and S. Forest Ave. The bicycle is described as a black and orange Kent mountain bike and is being held at the police station for safekeeping.

On 05-18-2018 at 11:01 AM a fraud was reported in the 600 block of Edgar Rd. The victim stated they had received two letters from a collection agency regarding a $17,000 balance on an account that they didn’t know existed. The account had been opened through TD Bank in New Jersey. The victim was unsure of how their personal information had been compromised.

During the week of 05-14-2018 through 05-20-2018, the Police Department responded to 588 calls for service, 25 auto accidents, 20 alarms and 42 assists to the Fire Department.
